Dissociative

Disorder

‘confused wandering away from your life (dissociative fugue)’
as if I were Beethoven

rather than

another girl in absentia

for most of the years in between

And

my

‘dysfunctional’

coping mechanism

has ‘order’

to it

thank you very much

So while it may be

a syndrome

of dissociation

from the world around

you

and by necessity,

from time

and space,

it still

remains

the something

you never get over

And then
One day
the lies fade away
To
Nothing
That
Matters
In the scheme of
dreams
and
other
things we forget
in the
telling

But
today
That day
seems
impossible

too far away
